Walking down the road today I’m preoccupied by the regrettable modern tendencies in pop music. None of the music I hear coming out of clothes shops exhibits enough style to distinguishable as Indie, Folk, Punk, Blues, or Glam. It doesn’t ascend high enough out of the soup to require further classification than Genres. If I really had to describe it to someone then I’d say, ‘You know… you know, that music that they have now: lady singers yowling powerfully, vibrating back and forth on the same note like a wobble-board over Nintendo beats, so that the whole thing sounds like the Doppler effect created by a really fast merry-go-round at the fair.’ What’s the name for that?
