It’s good to know this government has its priorities straight: identify the lowliest, poorest, weakest, most powerless, wretched, and desperate people in the country, and give them a kicking; undermine, thereby, the free-at-the-point-of-use principle, with the long-term, cloak-and-dagger goals of normalising the notion of paid-for healthcare and smuggling cash-registers into hospitals by the back door; and do all this for the ostensible reason of saving the kind of paltry sum that a tax-dodger wouldn’t stoop to retrieve.
