One of a number of annoyances on the insufferable new Google Maps is the strip of images along the bottom of the screen when in Street View. Oddly, the option to get rid of them is a button labelled ‘Hide imagery’. Now, I don’t know the rhetorical or figurative purpose of some blurry photos of the inside of a pub, but yes, please ‘hide imagery’.
